Masía El Altet, third best olive-oil mill in the world
Masía El Maset is the third best olive-oil mill in the world. This is the result obtained from the NGO World’s Best Olive Oils (WBOO), , which anually elaborates a ranking based on the classifications which the different oil mills from the five continents obtain in different competitions throughout the year.
In this way, World’s Best Olive Oils recognizes the effort made by Masía El Altet for picking the olive at exactly the correct moment of ripening, transporting it to its mill and once there, producing its extra virgin olive oil using the most up to date technology and in addition, for offering unique products.
What is certain is that Masía El Altet has never stepped down from the podium in this classification since in the first edition, which took place in 2011/12, the oil mill in Alcoy gained first prize.
In the year 2012/13, it came third, in 2013/14, second and in 2014/15, it again obtained third place.
But the good news does not stop here for the enterprise which produces high quality extra virgin olive oils under the names High End, Premium, Special Selection and High Quality. To be more precise, Masía El Altet has been classified as number 16 in the list of the world’s best olive oils.
El Masía El Altet High End also figures in the best EVOO in the world at number 29, as does Masía El Altet Special Selection at number 30 and Masía El Altet High Quality at number 38.
In the year 2011/12, Premium came second and in the previous edition, tenth.
World’s Best Olive Oils (WBOO) is an NGO. Its objective is to establish a yearly classificiation of the best extra virgin olive oils produced the world. So how does it arrive at this classification? It takes into account the results that the different brands of EVOO have obtained in competitions around the world.
WBOO is formed of and backed by the most important olive oil tasters in the world.
